Sometimes I forget

that I live in luxury

clean water;

;lack of debilitating hunger

How do I justify this excess?

I can only comprehend

such a small scale

I suppose

within the confines of this

tiny body, all I have

is love

for

the dignity

that defines each human being

and the passion to fight for

simply that

River Room

Katie and I asked for permission to get a "river room" art exhibition for the Stander Symposium. I was inspired the other day and sketched out some possible ideas. Still in very early planning stages, but here is some of what I came up with:

I suppose now I need to decide how crowded I want the room to be, collect items, and figure out the logistics within whichever space we are given.

I became inspired in the middle of the night and decided to create art for the Rike Center instead of sleeping. I found organic objects around campus and hung them from the ceiling with string.
